BEFORE MARKET ENTRY

Turn product details into a clear commercial plan

Work through the application, the buyer and the delivery conditions before choosing a route to market.

Commercial questions to resolve

  1. 01

    Define the application

Which agricultural operation should the solution support?

  2. 02

    Compare the product

Which crop, growing system or livestock process defines the use case?

  3. 03

    Clarify commercial conditions

When could a demonstration be meaningful in the production season?

  4. 04

    Prepare a meaningful review

Which site, resource and agronomic questions require a specialist before a claim is made?

  5. 05

    Choose the next commercial step

Who would provide local training, spare parts and service during the operating period?

Move from preparation to a next step

Sequence and responsibilities are agreed around your product and the selected commercial route.

  1. 01Confirm the product boundary and missing specifications.
  2. 02Choose the buyer profile and responsibilities to examine.
  3. 03Agree a focused review, sample or pilot before broader commercial commitments.

Three routes to examine

A distributor with local service coverage

Check service reach, seasonal availability, training and spare parts for the actual equipment. A sales territory alone does not establish operational support.

Direct projects with farms and processors

Identify the crop or processing operation, seasonal window and purchasing role. Technical suitability and financing questions need their own evidence.

A technical integrator for the application

Define which agronomic and engineering questions the integrator must handle. The commercial plan does not promise design, yield gains or automatic suitability.

What the agreed work can produce

See the working format
  1. Farm and application map

An application map of farm types with explicit regional and seasonal limits.

  2. Specialist input checklist

A structured input checklist for agronomic and engineering review.

  3. Equipment-offer comparison

A comparison of competing offers by operation and included equipment.

  4. Distribution and service profile

A local distribution and service partner profile.

  5. Seasonal test plan

A seasonal plan to test interest, evaluate samples or prepare a demonstration.

Questions before you begin

01Can we start with a single crop or region?

Yes. A focused use case helps define the relevant production operation, farm type and seasonal window. General population or crop-output figures do not establish product demand. The brief should identify the decision to examine and the agronomic or engineering inputs needed before potential buyers are approached.

02Who checks agronomic and technical suitability?

The manufacturer and appropriately qualified specialists evaluate the actual crop, operating conditions and site information. Commercial preparation can organise these questions and identify the required roles. A brochure comparison cannot establish an agronomic result, engineering suitability or a reliable savings claim for a particular farm.

03How is seasonality handled?

Record the operating calendar, procurement window and conditions needed for a useful demonstration. A visit outside the relevant operation may reveal little about suitability. Separate time for technical review, supply and training from the buyer’s decision timetable; the preparation plan does not guarantee that a farm will purchase within a season.

04Can the task focus only on local service?

Yes, if the equipment type and expected service responsibilities are clear. Candidate providers can be assessed against the relevant machinery, spare parts, location and availability requirements. A general agricultural service description does not confirm competence for your product; the manufacturer must review the actual technical support arrangement.

05Does this include water purification?

No. Irrigation components are considered only as part of a specified agricultural application. Water-treatment and environmental-service directions are outside this offer. Where the irrigation application raises water-quality or design questions, those are identified for the appropriate specialist rather than being turned into an unsupported additional service.

06Why does harvest volume not prove equipment demand?

Output describes agricultural production on a stated statistical basis. It does not identify existing equipment, utilisation, financing, replacement plans or the purchasing decision. Those factors need separate evidence. A useful buyer profile therefore connects the operation and decision process to the offer without converting aggregate harvest figures into promised sales.

Yield gains, water savings and payback require an explicit calculation and qualified review. Irrigation is an agricultural application, not an extension into water treatment. Finished food belongs to FMCG.
