BEFORE MARKET ENTRY

Turn product details into a clear commercial plan

Work through the application, the buyer and the delivery conditions before choosing a route to market.

Commercial questions to resolve

  1. 01

    Define the application

Is the offer finished packaging, resin, an additive or machinery?

  2. 02

    Compare the product

What product and handling conditions must the packaging accommodate?

  3. 03

    Clarify commercial conditions

Does the minimum order apply per design, colour, size or production run?

  4. 04

    Prepare a meaningful review

Are prices per piece, kilogram or another stated unit, and what costs are excluded?

  5. 05

    Choose the next commercial step

Which documents accompany the sample, and who will evaluate it on the buyer’s process?

Move from preparation to a next step

Sequence and responsibilities are agreed around your product and the selected commercial route.

  1. 01Confirm the product boundary and missing specifications.
  2. 02Choose the buyer profile and responsibilities to examine.
  3. 03Agree a focused review, sample or pilot before broader commercial commitments.

Three routes to examine

Direct supply to consumer-product manufacturers

Match the packaging application to the manufacturer’s product and line. Agree sample evaluation, supply unit and recurring-order conditions separately.

A specialist wholesaler or distributor

Check which materials, formats and order sizes the intermediary actually handles. Define stock, conversion services, customer access and the supplier’s retained responsibilities.

Supply to converters and packaging producers

Identify the converting process and the role of the offered raw material, tooling or machinery. A company name alone does not confirm a compatible production line.

What the agreed work can produce

See the working format
  1. Application and sample sheet

A product application sheet and an agreed sample specification.

  2. Buyer-process matrix

A buyer-type matrix linked to manufacturing and converting processes.

  3. Comparable offer

A comparison separating material, format, order size, tooling and supplied items.

  4. Buyer or distributor profile

A profile for the required distributor or direct industrial buyer.

  5. Trial and feedback plan

A trial-supply and feedback plan with responsibilities and evaluation questions.

Questions before you begin

01Is this for packaging producers or raw-material suppliers?

Both can use the preparation process, but their buyer profiles and comparisons differ. A finished pack is defined by its construction and application; a resin or additive is assessed against a converting process. Start by choosing the product level so machinery, raw material and finished packaging are not combined into one market claim.

02Can the work focus on direct industrial buyers?

Yes, the proposed research can examine manufacturers and converters rather than a retail channel. Their product and process must fit the offer. Production output alone does not reveal packaging consumption, buying budgets or interest; these questions belong in the buyer review and subsequent commercial discussion.

03How should samples be organised?

Agree the sample identity, quantity, documents, intended test and person responsible for feedback before dispatch. Record whether it is representative of normal production and who covers transport or tooling costs. Sending a sample is a preparation step, not evidence that a buyer has approved the material or committed to an order.

04Who checks material requirements?

The manufacturer supplies the relevant specification and evidence, while the buyer’s technical team or an agreed specialist evaluates the intended use. LYNQ can organise the commercial questions and records. Marketing descriptions cannot replace testing or a qualified conclusion about food contact, compatibility, recyclability or other material properties.

05How do different order sizes affect a comparison?

Compare the same specification and show the minimum order basis, print setup, tooling, waste allowance and delivery terms separately where relevant. A unit price without these conditions can conceal a different offer. Converting pieces to kilograms requires the actual weight and specification; it should not be guessed from a product photograph.

06Does this include starting a production plant?

The initial offer concerns commercial preparation, channel research and an agreed trial or negotiation plan. Plant design, equipment installation and production commissioning require a separate confirmed scope and qualified providers. Discuss those needs explicitly so a buyer-search proposal is not mistaken for a turnkey manufacturing commitment.

Material suitability, food-contact claims and environmental properties require appropriate evidence and specialist review. Window profiles remain in building materials; this offer does not include water-treatment services.
