BEFORE MARKET ENTRY

Turn product details into a clear commercial plan

Work through the application, the buyer and the delivery conditions before choosing a route to market.

Commercial questions to resolve

  1. 01

    Define the application

Which operation should the equipment perform, and which existing process does it need to fit?

  2. 02

    Compare the product

Is capacity nominal or measured on a stated material and operating condition?

  3. 03

    Clarify commercial conditions

What is included in the quote, and what must the buyer purchase separately?

  4. 04

    Prepare a meaningful review

Who would handle installation support, maintenance, replacement parts and warranty decisions?

  5. 05

    Choose the next commercial step

Is the initial objective direct sales, distribution, integration or service coverage?

Move from preparation to a next step

Sequence and responsibilities are agreed around your product and the selected commercial route.

  1. 01Confirm the product boundary and missing specifications.
  2. 02Choose the buyer profile and responsibilities to examine.
  3. 03Agree a focused review, sample or pilot before broader commercial commitments.

Three routes to examine

A distributor with defined sales and service duties

Define stock, sales territory, product training and which service obligations remain with the manufacturer. Confirm product-specific capability before discussing representation.

An integrator or technical contractor

Examine how the machine or control component fits the integrator’s projects, technical responsibilities and handover process. Separate design duties from sales support.

Direct supply to selected industrial users

Select the manufacturing operation and purchasing role first. Confirm the application, decision stage and support arrangement before treating an organisation as a qualified opportunity.

What the agreed work can produce

See the working format
  1. Application matrix

An application matrix linking machine functions to production processes and buyer types.

  2. Complete-offer comparison

A like-for-like offer comparison showing specifications, quoted prices and excluded equipment.

  3. Partner selection criteria

Separate selection criteria for the distributor, integrator and service organisation.

  4. Demonstration brief

A demonstration brief with the questions that require the manufacturer or a technical specialist.

  5. Commercial action plan

A commercial launch plan assigning next actions and responsibilities to the agreed parties.

Questions before you begin

01Can we start with a specific machine?

Yes. Begin with its intended operation, material, capacity and required site conditions. A machine catalogue alone rarely identifies the relevant production process. The initial review separates commercial research from technical questions and confirms which work can be undertaken before a delivery scope is agreed.

02Can you examine direct buyers instead of dealers?

The research can focus on industrial users whose production process may fit the equipment. The selection criteria should describe the operation and purchasing role, not just an industry name. Finding a company establishes a candidate; its application, interest, timing and purchasing authority still need separate confirmation.

03Who checks technical suitability?

The manufacturer or an agreed qualified specialist checks suitability against the buyer’s actual process and site information. LYNQ can structure the questions and coordinate the commercial discussion within an agreed scope. A market comparison, catalogue description or demonstration plan is not an engineering approval.

04How are installation and servicing considered?

List installation, commissioning, training, routine maintenance and spare parts as separate responsibilities. Compare what each quotation includes and identify the local party expected to perform each task. Service capability needs evidence for the particular equipment; a company describing itself as a service provider is not sufficient confirmation.

05What should we send first?

Provide a product link or catalogue, an application description, capacity with units, indicative commercial terms and your current service model. State unknowns directly. A public first brief should omit restricted drawings, production secrets and access credentials; detailed technical exchanges can be organised later with the relevant parties.

06What is the difference between a candidate, interest and a contract?

A candidate meets the initial research criteria. Confirmed interest requires an actual response about the offer; a meeting request alone does not confirm a purchase. A contract is a separate negotiated commitment. Preparation records should preserve these stages so an identified company is never presented as a secured order.

Engineering selection, design and commissioning require a confirmed qualified provider. Share a commercial specification, not confidential process or safety diagrams.
